From the moment I could hold a crayon without trying to eat it, I've been drawing cartoons. Around 20 years ago, I made the leap from 'kid doodling in the back of class' to full-blown animation professional. Along the way, I've worked on hit shows like Archer, Saturday Night Live, and the cult-classic Sealab 2021, just to name a few.

But wait, there's more! I'm also an Adobe After Effects specialist, with a knack for eye-popping motion graphics and seamless visual effects. My work has been seen on TV screens and digital platforms across the globe, and my list of clients includes heavyweights like Netflix, Amazon, and Apple.

Are you dreaming up a project? Let's make it a reality.

Let's work together.

I'm an artist, animator, and sometime "provocateur" from beautiful Blackshear, GA. Over the years, my creative exploits have landed me unbelievable gigs alongside many of my biggest influences. From the early days of adult swim to working with industry legends like Jon Stewart and Baz Luhrmann, it's been quite an adventure.

Along the way, I've leveraged my diverse opportunities to become a seasoned producer and animation director. I take great pride in fostering a collaborative environment, and thrive under tight deadlines (no doubt a gift inherited from my father, a newspaper publisher). I also have experience developing brand new show pipelines from the ground up.

Beyond the cartoons, I'm an Adobe After Effects specialist, wielding extensive expertise in motion graphics, visual effects, compositing, character rigging, and the artful application of expressions. My skill set isn't just about making things move; it's about bringing visual stories to life, frame by frame, with precision and personality.

My passions extend beyond the borders of my Cintiq as well. I'm a proud graduate of the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), a barbecue aficionado, and an avid pro wrestling fan – not to mention, I'm swampwise!

Want to work with me? Let's make it happen! Get in touch and let's create something epic together.

In 2016-17, I worked with acclaimed director Baz Luhrmann on his latest project, The Get Down, a Netflix drama about the birth of hip hop in the Bronx. I produced and directed all of the cartoon sequences in Season 2 through my company, Pig Apple.

Working so closely with Baz Luhrmann was a highlight of my career. Together we developed a stylized, animated universe featuring many of the live-action characters from the show.

As a vfx artist for Saturday Night Live, I've had the opportunity to work on many hilarious sketches. However, this one from Season 48 is especially memorable.

I was tasked with designing, rigging, and animating all of the the faces and lip flap for the army of Cologuard boxes begging Woody Harrelson to, you know . . . go inside them. The rest of our team then composited the animation onto the practical puppets.

I directed and animated this Fiat commercial in collaboration with Detroit's Doner. The Helpful Critters were released through all of Fiat's social media channels and also shown on GSTV, a network that broadcasts content directly to gas pump screens across the nation.

During the production of this commercial, Doner flew me to Detroit to meet with some of their staff and I ate way too many Coney dogs.

I partnered with one of my favorite clients, DRUM, to produce and direct these ads for Lendly. This project was one of the biggest motion design jobs I've ever tackled. From the three primary ads that I directed, my team created over 70 alternate versions for different corporate partners in a variety of runtimes and aspect ratios.

One of the best jobs I ever had was with Pitchfork, a website best known for its sometimes-scathing music reviews. I directed eight episodes of this web series, featuring musicians and comedians telling funny stories.

In this episode, rapper Freddie Gibbs talks about his experience welcoming Michael Jackson back to his hometown of Gary, IN.

Other episodes featured Danny Brown, GZA, Wavves, Melvins, The Lonely Island, Marc Maron, and Waka Flocka Flame.

In 2015 I partnered with Shadowmachine to produce and direct three shorts for Comedy Central's TripTank.

"Buddies" tells the story of four friends who just love to hang out and do manly stuff – golfing, hunting, and fishing. Spoiler alert! Frank ruins their fun every time.

I directed and animated this cartoon about the history of the PG-13 rating for Pitchfork and sponsored by Dell. The short is based on a Dissolve article written by Chris Klimek.

I directed this animated short detailing the work of influential Bauhaus artist Lázló Maholy-Nagy. The piece was created for Sotheby’s to promote the sale of one of Maholy-Nagy’s most well known works of art, “EM 1 Telephonbild”.

The piece eventually sold for $6,087,500 USD, which makes me wish I’d charged them more.

In 2018 I produced and directed yet another aniamted short for my friends at Pitchfork. This one is about one of my personal favorite late night activities – karaoke.

I rigged and animated the character of Uncle Glock for The Problem with Jon Stewart on Apple TV+. This project allowed me to develop several new character rigging and animation techniques and lead to a full-time job on season 2 of the show as a graphics designer and animator.
